Alhaji has over 10 years of multi- and transdisciplinary research experiences in nanotechnology (microfluidics), adaptive complex systems, and applied mathematical sciences and their application in life, physical, and social sciences. He leads the mathematical modeling efforts relevant to pathophysiological mechanisms in dialysis patients, particularly acid-base disturbance, bone and mineral disease, cardiovascular calcification, and anemia. Prior to joining RRI, Alhaji was a postdoctoral research scholar and a research technologist, respectively, in the School of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences, and the Global Security Initiative at Arizona State University. He received his PhD in mathematical sciences with specialization in applied dynamical systems and mathematical biology, at the University of Oxford.
